This don’t make sence because ppl that use empathy to manipulate their outcome is actually using selfish narcissistic patterns , And is not an empath

Mine has criticized nearly everything I have done, said, thought; my looks, my choices, for all of my 64 years. And she's still at it. I'm just relieved she moved 250 miles away from me and I don't have to see her much. Which is sad to me. But it is what it is 😢

Love takes work. A lot of work. Don't let this distress you, it's well worth it, and the things you learn building a healthy love will help you in all your connections. I will add: Learn the difference between critique and criticism. Critique recognises what you did right as well as what you did wrong. Critique is about helping the other improve. Critique is said in a helpful way. Critique is NOT said when the other person is unhappy or weak. It's said when the other is open to learning. How a person gives critique is even more important than the critique itself.

I went off on someone and later I felt guilty. I couldn't understand whether or not I overreacted but in the moment I was just trying to protect myself from the threat of danger.

An adaptation though is to figure out how to learn in quick sessions. I found out that if there's enough pressure or stress with limited time, I learn best and remember the most accurately. Yeah, not ideal. There are additional nuances yet this is to the point. And, I have an excellent memory as long as I'm not asked about the last few days. It's a given though that there are variances considering the trauma or traumas and the specific person who experienced it.

I can relate to this thanks to my evil monster inlaw, her mentally ill son and unsupportive parents who got me married at 18 and left me with those wild wolves. I still suffer and it's affected my kids massively, but I'm still supposed to be grateful , i live with severe traumadaily and am so damaged i cant evenpick up the phone to get an appointmentfor the doctors. For me , death is the only way out ,

I am bawling as I learn this. Make no mistake a little neglect, so I thought, as I wasnt as abused as others.. I believed I was ok. I held no grudges against my parents. Years later. Second marriage to a covert malignant narcissist who wanted to lead me to suicide for his sick fantasies. Free now by the mercy of God

Sounds like what a narcissist would say to discredit a boundaried or, dark empath. The empath and narcissist are on opposite sides of the spectrum. A weak empath being one who only thinks of others, and narcissist, only of themselves. When an empath learns how to protect themselves, learns how to say no, lets go of people pleasing behavior and has embraced and tamed their shadow, they are considered a dark empath. The integration of light and dark.

Absolutely false your job is to examine explore and find evaluate whether or not a person is truly what they say they are. It’s a balance view not automatically affirming but not dismissing either
